A pair of beautiful Zircon & Diamond Drop Earrings
The electric blue of this amazing pair of facetted pendalogue Zircons is so distinctive.
The Zircons weigh 8.78 carats in total.
When found, usually in water worn gravels, Sri Lankan Zircon crystal rough is a dullish grey brown. They have been given heat treatment to produce four principle colours, either golden, green, colourless, or this extraordinary dazzling blue. This process in either an oxidizing or reducing atmosphere has been done using charcoal as a heat source for centuries.
The combination of the vibrant striking blue, and the intense exceptional white sparkle of the diamonds is captivating. The six brilliant cut diamonds weigh 0.36 carat in total, and are all E colour VS clarity.
The earrings are all platinum, beautifully articulated so they 'bob' wonderfully on the ear.
