A pair of charming lilac sapphire & diamond drop earrings

We purchased this pair of pendaloque facetted Sri Lankan Lilac Sapphires principally for their seldom seen and very attractive colour, as well as the unusual proportions. The Sapphires have a total weight of 3.83 carats, and each are suspended below a classic Cousins trefoil cluster of three different size brilliant cut Diamonds all E colour VS1 clarity, the Diamonds have a total weight of 0.54 carats.

Of particular note are the pointed claws that Araminta has drawn, designed to mimic the shape of the faceting of the Sapphires, securing both the Sapphires and the Diamonds in place and threading the design between the two contrasting stones. This crisp delicacy emphasises the shimmering reflections of the gems whilst ensuring the stones are secure, without detracting from the beauty of the Sapphires.
