Archive

For generations, we have designed, commissioned and made distinctive pieces of jewellery, each with its own character and story. Our Archive is a growing record of this work — a collection of jewels that reflects our design ideas, our love of beautiful gemstones and the craftsmanship we have valued throughout the history of Cousins.

Every piece shown here has been sold. However, that doesn't necessarily mean its story ends there. Depending on the design, materials and gemstones involved, it may be possible to recreate the original piece, make a similar design or create something entirely new.

There are three possibilities when you enquire about an Archive piece:

1. The original design can be made again

Some pieces can be recreated using the original design. Where possible, we will use the same materials and gemstones, although this may depend on their availability. If you have fallen in love with one of these pieces, we would be delighted to discuss placing an order.

2. A similar design can be created

Some pieces may not be possible to reproduce exactly, but their design can provide the starting point for something new. This might involve using a different gemstone, perhaps in a different colour or size, or adapting certain details while retaining the character of the original.

3. A unique piece that cannot be recreated

Other pieces are truly one of a kind. This may be because of their age, their history, the rarity of their gemstones or the particular circumstances in which they were made. Although these cannot be reproduced, they remain part of our Archive as a record of our work and a source of inspiration for future commissions.

We keep these pieces not only as a record of what we have done, but also as inspiration for what might come next. You may find a setting you love, a combination of colours that catches your eye, or an idea that sparks a design of your own.
