An Exceptional Quality Oval Opal & Diamond Cluster Ring

We have made this ring for this ‘old material’ black opal of outstanding quality and incredible rainbow luminosity, it weighs 5.85 carats, and displays the most wonderful play of colour with blue, green, lilac, yellow, orange, and intense red.  

The colours are beautifully evenly distributed throughout the gem, with a broad spectrum of gloriously harmonious vibrant hues. 

The opal is framed with a brilliant cut diamond surround of 1.13 carats, all River ( D/E colour exceptional white plus/ exceptional white)  VS2 clarity. 

The ring is an 18 carat yellow gold and platinum joy, beautifully crafted with a very carefully considered and exquisitely executed saw pierced basket back. It has a low profile combined with the most elegant oval outline and looks simply gorgeous on the hand.
