A step-cut aquamarine single stone ring with diamond set shoulders

We just could not resist this absolutely beautiful step cut aquamarine. It weighs 5.78 carats, is the blue of the sky on a cloudless summer’s day, and is so incredibly clear and vibrant.

The ring is made in all platinum with double rail shoulders set with a total of 32 brilliant cut diamonds, all are E colour VS clarity and 0.37 carats total. Between these parallel rails is a very precise groove, and the darker shadow cast in this space makes a wonderful foil to the intense sparkle of the diamonds. The whole ring is like a sculpture upon the hand, catching your eye from all angles. 

The aquamarine is held with four pairs of claws in a steeply tapered collet that accentuates the sharp geometry of the facetting.  A jewel to simply gaze into and remember past times sailing in the Mediterranean.
